  • T&M ACKNOWLEDGE HIM

In all thy way acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Prov 3:6

We lean to our own understanding, or we bank on service and do away with prayer, and consequently by succeeding in the external we fail in the the eternal, because in the eternal we succeed only by prevailing prayer.

PRAYER: FATHER HELP ME, TO NOT LEAN TO MY OWN UNDERSTANDING, BECAUSE IF I DO, I WILL SURELY FAIL. HELP ME TO LEAN ON YOU AND FOLLOW YOUR WAYS. HALLELUYAH! Bro. Doc

  • @ellie1945 - This is VERY TRUE Sis. Ellie. thank you. Bro. Doc@HUMOR_ME_NOW -Let me see if I can help you Bro. Frank. We succeed by prevailing prayer, when we keep praying when we don’t see a thing happening with our praying. IF we were to give up before the answer came we wouldn’t get one, now would we Bro. Frank? So at times we succeed when we bomb heaven with our praying until the answer comes. If all we do is pray a fast food prayer, and expect a fast food answer, where does that get us? Bro. Doc

  • I like #ellie1945 comment.  She is a spiritual lady.lol I am troubled by the phrase, ‘we succeed only by prevailing prayer.’  I will say it—I do not think that is true.I agree about praying and you know how poorly I pray already.  I cannot explain it, but God has just been wonderful to me. He always was–even when I was not born again. We moved 20 times in 40 years and He always gave us a ministry. I was  gentle in correcting me for excessive credit card use. He was helpful when I got very over weight, never exercised, and had a heart attack. He helped me lose 65 pounds and keep it off all of these years. I am not a great husband, but He has kept me and my wife together all of theses years–I am still married to the wife of my youth. Our marriage is not perfect, but He has blessed us. If all of that depended on me being in prevailing prayer, it would not have happened. His amazing grace, mercy and provision has blessed this old sinful man all of these years. I cannot explain it. I agree with you that prevailing prayer is a very good thing. I just do not do it.blessings. Have a great Sabbath.frank

  • Amen!  I so agree with you here….I’ve learned to lean on HIS understanding, accepting it as my own…..His ways are perfect….Leaning on your own understanding, and you continue to fall…..
