    In these days of trying times when Christians are being attacked from every side, we must always remember that God has everything in HIS control. I felt the need to share with you a story of faith, proving once again that Jesus is very much alive. He not only rose, but he LIVES, and will protect us if we call on his name.

     

    A masked armed robber got more than he bargained for when he entered into Jackie Hagler’s home in Lake City, Florida intending to rob her and her friends at gun point. The 15 women ordered him out of the home through the power of Jesus’ name and lo and behold he ran out as fast as he could.

    Here’s the story as reported by

    Lake City, FL A masked gunman who attempted to rob a group of women inside a Lake City home Friday night may have got more than he bargained for.

    Lake City police say Derek Lee, 24, entered a house on Lakeview Avenue where the homeowner had 14 women over for a jewelry party. Police say Lee was wearing a dark ski cap on his head along with a bandana across his face. He allegedly showed a gun and ordered the women to hand over their money and phones.

    One woman who thought it was a party gag pushed his hand aside while laughing saying, “It’s only a water gun.” Police say Lee (pictured, right) held the gun to that woman’s head and said, “I’m not joking, I’m going to shoot someone, give me your money.”

    Jacquie Hagler, who owns the house, says she then put her faith into action.

    “When I realized what was going on, I stood up and said, ‘In the name of Jesus, get out of my house now.’ And he said, ‘I’m going to shoot someone.’ And I said it again, real boldly,” Hagler said. “Everybody started chanting, ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,’ and he did a quick scan of the room, and ran out the door as fast as he could go.”

    Can you imagine the unbelievable fear that surged through this career criminals mind? As I am sure he was used to dealing with violence because he is a previous offender according to the full article, he apparently had never seen or felt the power of Jesus Name like he did this day. Maybe this will be what shines the light on this young man making him a believer.

    Lee was picked out of a lineup by several of the ladies from the party, police say. He is also being investigated for attempted robbery at a nearby ATM, which happened just prior to the home invasion.

    He was held on $200,000 bond in the Columbia County Detention Center.

    102459_ATF - CopyIt seems to me that there is no Constitutional authority for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) or commonly referred to as the ATF. Not only has the administration’s ATF been involved in knowingly and willfully walking 2,500 weapons across the Mexican border resulting in hundreds of deaths at the hands of Mexican drug cartels, but they have now been exposed as majorly screwing up in Wisconsin.

    The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports,

    A store calling itself Fearless Distributing opened early last year on an out-of-the-way street in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, offering designer clothes, athletic shoes, jewelry and drug paraphernalia.

    Those working behind the counter, however, weren’t interested in selling anything.

     

    They were undercover agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives running a storefront sting aimed at busting criminal operations in the city by purchasing drugs and guns from felons.

    But the effort to date has not snared any major dealers or taken down a gang. Instead, it resulted in a string of mistakes and failures, including an ATF military-style machine gun landing on the streets of Milwaukee and the agency having $35,000 in merchandise stolen from its store, a Journal Sentinel investigation has found.

    When the 10-month operation was shut down after the burglary, agents and Milwaukee police officers who participated in the sting cleared out the store but left behind a sensitive document that listed names, vehicles and phone numbers of undercover agents.

    And the agency remains locked in a battle with the building’s owner, who says he is owed about $15,000 because of utility bills, holes in the walls, broken doors and damage from an overflowing toilet.

    The sting resulted in charges being filed against about 30 people, most for low-level drug sales and gun possession counts. But agents had the wrong person in at least three cases. In one, they charged a man who was in prison – as a result of an earlier ATF case – at the time agents said he was selling drugs to them.

    Other cases reveal that the agency’s operation was paying such high prices that some defendants bought guns from stores such as Gander Mountain and sold them to the agents for a quick profit. The mistakes by agents are troubling and suggest a lack of planning and oversight, according to veterans of the ATF, who learned about the operation from the Journal Sentinel. The newspaper combed through police reports, court documents, social media and materials left behind by the ATF, all of which provide a rare view inside an undercover federal operation.

    Not only has this department, as well as, the Obama Justice Department lost their credibility with Operation Fast and Furious, but they continually display why they should no longer be a part of the Federal government. These are the same people who will be in charge of implementation of the 23 executive orders that Barack Obama put forth. They are the same people who, should any of the House bills be passed or the Feinstein bill be passed, be the enforcers of those. What could possibly go wrong?

    Do Americans actually think giving this agency power to conduct universal background checks is a wise thing? If you are one of those, please wake up and smell what the Feds are shoveling.

    Well at least one cowboy in the area has his head out of….. the sand. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, despite being criticized by obviously less competent sheriffs and politicians in the Wisconsin area has stood his ground and told residents, “With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back.” He has encouraged resident to get a firearm, take a safety course and learn how to handle it “so you can defend yourself until we get there.”

    “You have a duty to protect yourself and your family,” he said.

    With Federal agents screwing up so badly, or maybe on purpose, who knows at this point, Sheriff Clarke has good sense (notice I didn’t use the word “common,” because I’m concluding that common sense is pretty rare) to recognize that people not only need to defend against criminals, but they may just need to defend from their incompetent government.

    Since Obama took his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, he has not only battered the Constitution, but assaulted America’s armed forces who love America and her laws so much that they are willing to lay down their lives to defend her freedoms.

    How does Obama repay them? He cuts their funding, does nothing when hundreds of thousands of our veterans are still awaiting medical benefits, ignores the wishes of the military branches who desired to keep Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in place, sues states such as Ohio to block military votes, complains about taking pictures with our soldiers and calls the killing of four Americans in Libya (two of them former Navy SEALs) a “bump in the road.”

    To add insult to injury, Barack Hussein Obama has now supplied the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, who has declared war on America, with sixteen F-16s and 200 Abrams tanks.

     

    Obama and his unlawful bureaucrats continue their bold-faced assaults, using less than 1.7 percent of the population to attack America’s blood-bought freedoms at every turn – and they are using taxpayer money to do so.

    How does a country with a population of roughly 312 million correctly respond?

    Love or hate him, Abraham Lincoln was spot on when he said, “We the people are the rightful masters … not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”

    When doing high school assemblies all across the country (http://www.youcanruninternational.com) I will ask the students in the assembly how many know their Constitution. Many begin to laugh in sheer ignorance. I tell them that if they do not know their rights, they don’t have any rights. I then begin to show them the price paid for our freedoms by our founders and veterans who fought, bled and died to magnify the Constitution they previously laughed at not knowing.

    I then ask them how many have grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters who have fought or are currently fighting for our freedom. About 85 percent of them do, and it hits home with the students. The entire room is immediately captivated with a new love and respect for America and the laws of our republic.

    Through the knowledge of the Bible and our Constitution, they also begin to see through the destructive, disrespectful and illegal actions of the current administration.

    murder capitalThis city has arguably the strictest gun laws in America. Not a single gun shop can be found within its borders, because they are outlawed. For decades, handguns were banned, until the Supreme Court finally ruled in 2010 that the city gun control zealots were going just a bit too far in their agenda. This city resides in a state the remains the only state in America with no provision to allow private citizens to carry a firearm in public, in clear violation of the Second Amendment. It also was the murder capital of the United States last year. Where am I talking about? The land of Barack Obama, Chicago, Illinois.

    But hey, Chicago not only has the above in place legislatively but they also have an “assault weapons” ban and a “high capacity magazine” ban as well and yet they cannot stop their gun violence problem. Wait, I thought all those measures were suppose to solve the “problem.” Apparently, they don’t. Chicago is still combating gun violence that led to more than 500 homicides last year and at least 40 in this first month of 2013, with the latest involving 15-year-old victim Hadiya Pendleton, shot on Tuesday, just blocks from Barack Obama’s former home in an upscale neighborhood!

    Thankfully, there are some competent people speaking out. Executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association Richard A. Pearson. According to Pearson,

    “The gun laws in Chicago only restrict the law-abiding citizens and they’ve essentially made the citizens prey.”

     

    Others want to blame areas with less restrictive laws in neighboring in communities and states for the problem. Pastor, and yes I use the term loosely, Ira. J. Acree said, “Chicago is like a house with two parents that may try to have good rules and do what they can, but it’s like you’ve got this single house sitting on a whole block where there’s anarchy.”

    Actually, all around Acree are people that should be following the law (ie. the United States Constitution), not anarchy. He has it, as my friends used to say, “bass-ackwards.”

    Lately, the police say they are discovering far more guns on the streets of Chicago than in the nation’s two more populous cities, Los Angeles and New York. They seized 7,400 guns here in crimes or unpermitted uses last year (compared with 3,285 in New York City), and have confiscated 574 guns just since Jan. 1 — 124 of them last week alone.

    More than a quarter of the firearms seized on the streets here by the Chicago Police Department over the past five years were bought just outside city limits in Cook County suburbs, according to an analysis by the University of Chicago Crime Lab. Others came from stores around Illinois and from other states, like Indiana, less than an hour’s drive away. Since 2008, more than 1,300 of the confiscated guns, the analysis showed, were bought from just one store, Chuck’s Gun Shop in Riverdale, Ill., within a few miles of Chicago’s city limits.

    Efforts to compare the strictness of gun laws and the level of violence across major American cities are fraught with contradiction and complication, not least because of varying degrees of coordination between local and state laws and differing levels of enforcement. In New York City, where homicides and shootings have decreased, the gun laws are generally seen as at least as strict as Chicago’s, and the state laws in New York and many of its neighboring states are viewed as still tougher than those in and around Illinois. Philadelphia, like cities in many states, is limited in writing gun measures that go beyond those set by Pennsylvania law. Some city officials there have chafed under what they see as relatively lax state controls.

    Actually, when you deal with the real numbers there is no contradiction. In fact, if the media and the politicians were honest, they know exactly where the problem areas are and why, but they don’t want to deal with that. They want to infringe on the rights of all citizens for the sake of the few.

    Others join Acree in wanting to place blame on those outside of Chicago for the failure of their laws.

    “The way the laws are structured facilitates the flow of those guns to hit our streets,” Garry F. McCarthy, the Chicago police superintendent, said in an interview, later adding, “Chicago may have comprehensive gun laws, but they are not strict because the sanctions don’t exist.”

    fan2fEven the Godfather himself, Rahm Emanuel, stated “Our gun strategy is only as strong as it is comprehensive, and it is constantly being undermined by events and occurrences happening outside the city — gun shows in surrounding counties, weak gun laws in neighboring states like Indiana and the inability to track purchasing. This must change.”

    Senior advisor to Emanuel David Spielfogel said, “Chicago is not an island. We’re only as strong as the weakest gun law in surrounding states.”

    So what you’re saying is, is that your gun control laws don’t work and that you want to blame those around you for your incompetence in enforcing your unenforceable and I might add, unconstitutional laws, right?

    Here’s what I want to ask, where do these problems exist Mr. Emanuel? Where do you have the most issues with gun violence Mr. Acree? Can you put your finger on the problem areas of your city Police Superintendent McCarthy? I’ll answer. Better yet, I’ll let the racist Jesse Jackson answer. “Poverty, race, guns and drugs — you’ve got to deal with all these issues, but you’ve got to start somewhere,” Jackson said.

    OK, stop blaming those around you that have lesser restrictions on Constitutional rights, which should have no restrictions on them and start dealing with the areas where these things are taking place. I’ll guarantee you, if you actually started dealing with the root problem, you wouldn’t have a “gun problem.” Guns are not the problem. They are a tool to address the root problems, criminals. Strip away your gun control laws, allowing law abiding citizens to own whatever firearms they desire in Chicago. On top of that, send a clear message via radio, TV, and internet that you actually support the Second Amendment, encourage law abiding citizens to purchase firearms, go through training to use them, warn criminals that citizens are armed against them and you will see a drop in your gun violence, at least on the criminal end of things, because law abiding citizens will begin to take care of your criminal element with Constitutional self defense.

    The Danger of Drinking

    “It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.”

    There is no question that consuming alcohol affects a person’s judgment in a negative way. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that seventy percent of speeding drivers who have fatal accidents between midnight and 3:00 a.m. are legally drunk. Intoxicated drivers are half as likely to wear seatbelts, and alcohol is involved in more than four out of every five crashes involving drivers who are driving on suspended or revoked licenses or without a license at all.

    Alcohol abuse is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. Nearly half of trauma patients in emergency rooms are there because of alcohol. Those who had been drinking are three times more likely to die in a fire than those who have not. More than one third of adult drowning involves the use of alcohol. Yet people continue to insist that they can “handle it” and know when they have had too much to drink. This is folly because from the first drink alcohol begins to impair judgment.

    Every day we are involved in a very real spiritual war. We have a committed enemy who, “as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The danger we face day after day requires that we must be diligent and on guard. That is one of the reasons the Bible and especially the book of Proverbs—the book devoted to teaching principles for wise living— contains so many warnings about the dangers of drinking and drunkenness. Alcohol affects our senses, dulls our judgment, and keeps us from fulfilling our duty to God. We should reject it in all of its forms.

    Today’s Proverbs Precept: 
    The dangers of spiritual warfare are too great for us to risk allowing our senses and judgment to be dulled by alcoholic drinks.

  • T&M 2/1/13 DOES YAHVAH FEEL AT HOME IN YOUR LIFE

    Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly…Col 3:16

    Many years ago when I was speaking in a particular assembly, the pastor informed me that because the assembly couldn’t afford a hotel for me, I’d be staying that week with a family from his assembly. When I arrived at this family home, the host met me at the front door, showed me my bedroom, and pointed out the bathroom and the kitchen. Then the entire family ignored me for the rest of the week!

    If I asked the family members a question, they pretended they did not hear me. When it was time to eat, they informed me that it wasn’t their responsibility to feed me and that I could just care for myself because they weren’t there to nurse me.

    Words cannot describe how uncomfortable I was in their home! Everything the family did let me know that they wished I wasn’t there. When the week concluded, I was so happy to move out of that miserable predicament! I pledged that I would never let myself be put in that kind of situation again.

    How about you? Have you ever stayed as a gust in a home where the people made you feel very unwelcome and unwanted?

    I remember that when this happened, I was studying Col 3:16, where it says, “Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly…” The chilly reception I felt in that home caused me to look at my own heart and ask, What kind of reception have I given the Word of Yahvah in my life? I wanted to know:

    Have I given Yahvah’s Word the kind of reception it deserves, or have I ignored and given it the “cold shoulder?”

    Does Yahvah’s Word feel at home in my life, or does it feel unwanted?

    Have I rolled out the red carpet and given Yahvah’s Word a ground reception, making it clear that I love the Word and am privileged to have it dwelling in my heart?

    In Col 3:16, Paul tells us that the word of Messiah should “dwell” in us richly, I decided to go get my Greek Restored Covenant and study the word “dwell” so I could determine what kind of reception I have given Yahvah’s Word in my own life.

    I found that the word “dwell” is taken from the word enoikeo. The word enoikeo is a compound of the en and oikos. The en means in, and the word oikos is the Greek word of a house. When the two words are compounded together, they form the word enoikeo, which means to dwell in a house. This is the same Greek word used in both Restored Covenant literature and secular literature to signify someone who take up permanent residency in a home. The person is so at home and contented in this new location that he has chosen to make it his permanent dwelling place for the rest of his life.

    So when Paul tells us to let the word of Messiah “dwell” in us, he is beseeching us to give Yahvah’s Word such a grand, welcoming reception that it literally feels at home in us and therefore comes to take us permanent residency!

    Does the Word have this kind of place in your life? Does it really “dwell” in you richly? Does it feel at home and comfortable in your life? Or is the Word of Yahvah treated like a strange that is occasionally welcomed into your life as a visitor? Be honest!

    Why not make today the day that the Word of Yahvah comes to take up permanent residency in your life? Throw the door open, roll out the red carpet, and welcome the Word of Yahvah as a new, permanent resident in your heart!

    PRAYER: YAHVAH, HOW CAN I EVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE POWER OF YOUR WORD! I AM SO HONORED THAT YOU WOULD PLACE SUCH A GIFT IN MY LIFE.     MY CONFESSION FOR TODAY

    I confess that the Word dwells richly in me. It has such a grand reception in my life that it literally feels at home in me. Because I give it this place of prominence in my life, it produces phenomenal amounts of spiritual in my life. I have so many spiritual riches inside me that they continually flow forth to enrich those around me. I declare this by faith in Yahvahosha’s name!
