Old Car to Have FixedI was living in the mountains above Denver when my college buddy, Gary, arrived in his ancient Maserati sports car. He had just driven it from Ohio, and as he pulled into my driveway, the car broke down. Calls to auto-supply houses and garages in search of replace- ment parts proved futile. The 1962 model was simply too rare. Responses ranged from “Mas-a-what?” to “You’ve got to be kidding.” One guy just laughed. I was at the end of the listings in the Yellow Pages when I dialed Victor’s Garage. “Vic,” I said, “you’re my last hope. Do you carry any parts for a 1962 Maserati?” There was a long pause. Finally, Victor cleared his throat. “Yes,” he replied. “Oil.” |

Fishing TripA man phones home from his office and says to his wife, “I have the chance to go fishing for a week. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime. I have to leave right away. Please pack my clothes, my fishing equipment, and especially my blue silk pajamas. I’ll be home in an hour to pick them up.” The man rushes home to grab everything. He hugs his wife, apologizes for the short notice, and then hurries off. A week later, the man returns and his wife asks, “Did you have a good trip, dear?” The man replies, “Yep, the fishing was great… but you forgot to pack my blue silk pajamas.” His wife smiles and says, “Oh, no I didn’t… I put them in your tackle box!” |

The Penny TrickMy husband and I had just finished tucking our five young ones into bed one evening when we heard sobbing coming from three-year-old Billy’s room. Rushing to his side, we found him crying hysterically. He had accidentally swallowed a penny and was sure he was going to die. No amount of talking could change his mind. Desperate to calm him, my husband palmed a penny that he happened to have in his pocket and pretended to pull it from Billy’s ear. Billy was delighted. In a flash, he snatched it from my husband’s hand, swallowed it and demanded cheerfully, “Do it again, Dad!” |

CrimeLate one night in the Washington D.C. a mugger wearing a ski mask jumped into the path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in his ribs. “Give me your money,” he demanded. Indignant, the affluent man replied, “You can’t do this – I’m a US Congressman!” “In that case,” replied the robber, “give me MY money!” |

T&M YAHVAHOSHA’S LAST LESSON FOR THE DISCIPLES
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter… Jn 14:16.
I’ve often heard Religious people ask, “I wonder what it must have been like to walk with Yahvahosha. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to walk with Him and to hear His voice and talk to Him? But believers who ask these kinds of questions don’t understand the ministry of the Holy ghost. If they did, they’d know that having the Holy Ghost with them is just like having Yahvahosha right at their side!
Because Yahvahosha was about to depart from the world, He knew it was absolutely essential that the disciples learn how to rely entirely on the Spirit of Yahvah and to follow His leadership. Therefore, Yahvahosha used His last moments to teach the disciples how to follow the Holy Ghost’s leadership in the same way they were following Him.
It must have seem strange to the disciples as they listened to Yahvahosha speak about the Holy Ghost. They had been accustomed to Yahvahosha’s physically and visibly leading them, but now they were learning that the Spirit of Yahvah would become their Leader. This would be a Leader they couldn’t see, couldn’t touch, and couldn’t audfibly hear; yet they were suppose to follow Him just as they had followed Yahvahosha. They would probably think, WHAT IS THE HOLY GHOST’S LEADERSHIP GOING TO BE LIKE IN OUR LIVES? DOES HE ACT AND THINK DIFFERENTLY THAN YAHVAHOSHA? WHAT IS IT GOING TO BE LIKE TO FOLLOW THE SPIRIT OF YAHVAH?
Knowing that these were normal questions to ask, Yahvahosha used His final moments with the disciples to dispel all fear and insecurity they might have felt about following the Holy Ghost leadership. This is why Yahvahosha was so careful to use key words when He spoke to them about the coming of the Holy Ghost. In Jn 14:16 for example Yahvahosha said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter…”
Notice the word “another”, I want to draw your attention to this very important word today. In Greek, there are are two possible words for another. The first is the Gree word allos, and the second is the Greek word heteros. The word allos means one of the very same kind or of a different kind. This word heteros forms the first part of the word heterosexual, which of course describes someone who has sexual relations with a person of the opposite sex, when they are married too them.
The Greek word used in Jn 14:16 is the first word allos. The word allos emphatically means that the Holy Ghost would be like Yahvahosha in every way. This conveys a very strong and important message about the Holy Ghost. Yahvahosha wanted the disciples to know that the Holy Ghost was just like Him. Following the Holy Ghost would not be any different than following Him, except the Spirit’s leadershipo would be invisible rather than physical and visible, as Yahvahosha’s leadership had been.
One translator says the word allos in Jn 14;16 could be translated to mean: I WILL PRAY TO THE FATHER, AND HE WILL SEND YOU SOMEONE WHO IS JUST LIKE ME IN EVERY WAY. HE WILL BE IDENTICAL TO ME IN THE WAY HE SPEAKS, THE WAY HE THINKS, THE WAY HE OPERATES, THE WAY HE SEE THINGS, AND THE WAY HE DOES THINGS. HE WILL BE EXACTLY LIKE ME IN EVERY WAY. IF THE HOLY GHOST IS HERE, IT WILL BE JUST AS IF I AM HERE BECAUSE WE THINK, AND BEHAVE, AND OPERATE THE SAME…”
The word allos tells us the Holy Ghost perfectly represents the life and nature of Yahvahosha Messiah. Yahvahosha did only what the Heavenly Father would do, and now the Holy Ghost will do only what Yahvahosha would do. As Yahvahosha’s Representative on earth, the Holy Ghost never acts on His own or out of character with the life of Yahvahosha Messiah.
Why don’t you start opening your heart to the work of the Spirit today? He wants to represent Yahvahosha too you, your assembly, your family, your business, and your city, just as He did to believers who lived during the time of the book of Acts. Remember, if you have the Holy Ghost working alongside you, it’s like having Yahvahosha right there at your side!
PRAYER: YAHVAH, HELP ME LEARN HOW TO WORK WITH THE HOLY GHOST! I DONIT WANT TO WASTE TIME GRIEVING OVER WHAT I MISSED BY NOT LIVING TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO, SO I ASK YOU TO TEACH ME HOW TO LET THE SPIRIT LEAD AND GUIDE ME. YOUR WORD TEACHES THAT BECAUSE THE HOLY GHOST IS WITH ME, THE MINISTRY OF YAHVAHOSHA CAN CONTINUE IN MY LIFE TODAY. HOLY GHOST, I ASK YOU TO BRING ME INTO A GREATER KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO WORK WITH YOU SO THAT THE MINISTRY OF YAHVAHOSHA CAN CONTINUE THROUGH ME! IN YAHVAHOSHA I PRAY HALLELUYAH! Bro. Doc

A Risen Saviour
By Paul Chappell
Sunday, Mar 31, 2013
“Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.”
Proverbs 31:8-9
The greatest need of mankind is a Saviour. There are great economical, political, physical, mental, and emotional needs facing people today, but the greatest problem—the eternity deciding problem—is the sin problem. Each person must either accept the payment for sin made through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross or bear the punishment themselves.
The primary reason Christ came into the world was to provide a way of escape from the penalty of sin. Even as His coming was announced, the angel told Mary, “Thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). Jesus Himself said, “The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28)
The Bible tells us that all of mankind is under condemnation because of sin. In mercy and grace God sent His Son to provide the means of salvation through His death, burial, and resurrection. The empty tomb, which we celebrate today, proves that Jesus has the power to be our Saviour!
Each of us who have received the free gift of salvation has the privilege and responsibility to share the Gospel with those around us. Even as the women who first saw the empty tomb were instructed to “go…and tell” (Matthew 28:7), so we should tell others the glad news of a risen Saviour.
Every person we meet today is—as described in the verses above—appointed to destruction. It is our privilege and responsibility to open our mouths to share with them the gladdest tidings they could ever hear: Jesus paid for their sin, rose from the dead, and offers them His salvation.
Today’s Proverbs Precept:There is no better way to celebrate the resurrection than sharing the Good News with those who need deliverance from sin.Old Testament Reading
Judges 11CHAPTER 11
1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. 2 And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman. 3 Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
4 And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel. 5 And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob: 6 And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon. 7 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father’s house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress? 8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead. 9 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the LORD deliver them before me, shall I be your head? 10 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words. 11 Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh.
12 And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land? 13 And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably. 14 And Jephthah sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Ammon: 15 And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon: 16 But when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh; 17 Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass through thy land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh. 18 Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab. 19 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into my place. 20 But Sihon trusted not Israel to pass through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against Israel. 21 And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country. 22 And they possessed all the coasts of the Amorites, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan. 23 So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it? 24 Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess. 25 And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them, 26 While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time? 27 Wherefore I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon. 28 Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.
29 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon. 30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD’S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. 32 So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands. 33 And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel. 34 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. 35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back. 36 And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the LORD hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon. 37 And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows. 38 And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains. 39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel, 40 That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.
CHAPTER 12
1 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. 2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands. 3 And when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the LORD delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me? 4 Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites. 5 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay; 6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand. 7 And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.
8 And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel. 9 And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years. 10 Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem. 11 And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years. 12 And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun. 13 And after him Abdon the son of Hillel, a Pirathonite, judged Israel. 14 And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years. 15 And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of the Amalekites.
New Testament Reading
Luke 6:11 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. 2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him; 4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? 5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. 6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? 10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. 24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
Proverb of the Day
Proverbs 311 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. 2 What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? 3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. 4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: 5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. 6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. 7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. 9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

The Defeated Grave
By Paul Chappell
Saturday, Mar 30, 2013
“The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.”
Proverbs 30:15-16
On May 13, 1864, a twenty-one-year-old private named William Christman from Pennsylvania became the first soldier to be buried in what is now Arlington Nation Cemetery. The two hundred acre farm and house had belonged to Robert E. Lee, who resigned his commission in the United States Army to lead the Confederate forces. The property had belonged to Lee’s wife, the great great granddaughter of Martha Washington before it was seized by the United States government.
The decision to place a military cemetery there was intended to ensure Lee would never be able to live there again. In addition to placing the graves as close to the house as possible, the director of the cemetery placed the remains of more than 2,000 unknown soldiers in what had been the Lee’s rose garden. Today Arlington is home to the Tomb of the Unknowns and the graves of some 400,000 men and women who have served their country. Nearly 7,000 funerals per year continue to add to those buried among “the honored dead.”
While the grave may never be satisfied as long as sin and death are part of the world, its power has already been defeated. On the first Easter morning, when after three days and three nights in a borrowed tomb the Lord of Heaven and Earth arose in His glorified body, the power of the grave was shattered. We have not yet seen the end, but the outcome of the battle is already assured. Today in faith we can ask with Paul, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:55).

Judges 9CHAPTER 9
1 And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mother’s brethren, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother’s father, saying, 2 Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh. 3 And his mother’s brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother. 4 And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him. 5 And he went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself. 6 And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that was in Shechem.
7 And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you. 8 The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us. 9 But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? 10 And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us. 11 But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees? 12 Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us. 13 And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? 14 Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us. 15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon. 16 Now therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands; 17 (For my father fought for you, and adventured his life far, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian: 18 And ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother;) 19 If ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you: 20 But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. 21 And Jotham ran away, and fled, and went to Beer, and dwelt there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.
22 When Abimelech had reigned three years over Israel, 23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: 24 That the cruelty done to the threescore and ten sons of Jerubbaal might come, and their blood be laid upon Abimelech their brother, which slew them; and upon the men of Shechem, which aided him in the killing of his brethren. 25 And the men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in the top of the mountains, and they robbed all that came along that way by them: and it was told Abimelech. 26 And Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brethren, and went over to Shechem: and the men of Shechem put their confidence in him. 27 And they went out into the fields, and gathered their vineyards, and trode the grapes, and made merry, and went into the house of their god, and did eat and drink, and cursed Abimelech. 28 And Gaal the son of Ebed said, Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? is not he the son of Jerubbaal? and Zebul his officer? serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem: for why should we serve him? 29 And would to God this people were under my hand! then would I remove Abimelech. And he said to Abimelech, Increase thine army, and come out. 30 And when Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger was kindled. 31 And he sent messengers unto Abimelech privily, saying, Behold, Gaal the son of Ebed and his brethren be come to Shechem; and, behold, they fortify the city against thee. 32 Now therefore up by night, thou and the people that is with thee, and lie in wait in the field: 33 And it shall be, that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set upon the city: and, behold, when he and the people that is with him come out against thee, then mayest thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion. 34 And Abimelech rose up, and all the people that were with him, by night, and they laid wait against Shechem in four companies. 35 And Gaal the son of Ebed went out, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city: and Abimelech rose up, and the people that were with him, from lying in wait. 36 And when Gaal saw the people, he said to Zebul, Behold, there come people down from the top of the mountains. And Zebul said unto him, Thou seest the shadow of the mountains as if they were men. 37 And Gaal spake again and said, See there come people down by the middle of the land, and another company come along by the plain of Meonenim. 38 Then said Zebul unto him, Where is now thy mouth, wherewith thou saidst, Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him? is not this the people that thou hast despised? go out, I pray now, and fight with them. 39 And Gaal went out before the men of Shechem, and fought with Abimelech. 40 And Abimelech chased him, and he fled before him, and many were overthrown and wounded, even unto the entering of the gate. 41 And Abimelech dwelt at Arumah: and Zebul thrust out Gaal and his brethren, that they should not dwell in Shechem. 42 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people went out into the field; and they told Abimelech. 43 And he took the people, and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked, and, behold, the people were come forth out of the city; and he rose up against them, and smote them. 44 And Abimelech, and the company that was with him, rushed forward, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city: and the two other companies ran upon all the people that were in the fields, and slew them. 45 And Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he took the city, and slew the people that was therein, and beat down the city, and sowed it with salt. 46 And when all the men of the tower of Shechem heard that, they entered into an hold of the house of the god Berith. 47 And it was told Abimelech, that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together. 48 And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and Abimelech took an axe in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, and do as I have done. 49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.
50 Then went Abimelech to Thebez, and encamped against Thebez, and took it. 51 But there was a strong tower within the city, and thither fled all the men and women, and all they of the city, and shut it to them, and gat them up to the top of the tower. 52 And Abimelech came unto the tower, and fought against it, and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with fire. 53 And a certain woman cast a piece of a millstone upon Abimelech’s head, and all to brake his skull. 54 Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died. 55 And when the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead, they departed every man unto his place. 56 Thus God rendered the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did unto his father, in slaying his seventy brethren: 57 And all the evil of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal.
CHAPTER 10
1 And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim. 2 And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir. 3 And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years. 4 And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead. 5 And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him. 7 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon. 8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead. 9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
10 And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim. 11 And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines? 12 The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand. 13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. 14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. 15 And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day. 16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel. 17 Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh. 18 And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
New Testament Reading
Luke 5:1717 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. 19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. 20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? 23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? 24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins,( he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. 25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him. 29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. 33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? 34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. 39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
Proverb of the Day
Proverbs 301 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, 2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. 10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty. 11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. 15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. 17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: 19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. 20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. 21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear: 22 For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat; 23 For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress. 24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: 25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; 26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; 27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; 28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces. 29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: 30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; 31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up. 32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. 33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

SABBATH SERMON “TWO BABYLONS PART II” PREACHED 4-30-13
TWO BABYLONS Part II
Jeremiah 50:1-3,9,13 The word that Yahvah spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of he Chaldeans, by Jeremyah the prophet. Declare among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed; her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed. For out of the north there comes up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and no one shall dwell in it: they have fled, they are gone, both man and beast. For, lo, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain. Because of the wrath of Yahvah she shall be not inhabited, but she shall be wholly desolate: every one that goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
(Comment: Ancient Babylon was not destroyed by plagues, so this is definitely another City called Babylon, and the context is in the End Time when Messiah Returns. These plagues are the plagues of the Trumpets and Vials of Revelation).
Jeremiah 50:18 Therefore thus says Yahvah of hosts, the Eternal of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Asyria.
Comment: Within weeks of End-Time Babylon being destroyed, Messiah will welcome back to Jerusalem the returning Remnant of Israel and Judah, as the verses confirm.
Jeremiah 50:4-5,19-20,38 (Revelation 16:12 The only waters at Babylon is the Euphrates River)
Jeremiah 50:39-41 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wolves shall dwell there, and the ostriches shall dwell in it: and it shall be no more inhabited forever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. As when the Eternal overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Yahvah, so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn in it. Behold, a people comes from the north; and a great nation and many kings shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth. (Daniel 11:44-45 = the “Kings” of the East, like Japan; China, & other Asian Nations).
Jeremiah 50:42-46; They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride upon horses, every one set in array, as a man to the battle against you O daughter of Babylon. The king of Babylon has heard the tidings of them, and his hands become feeble: anguish has taken hold of him and pangs as of a woman in travail. Behold, the enemy shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? Therefore hear counsel of Yahvah, that he has taken against Baylon; and his purpose, that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them. At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth trembles, and the cry is heard among the nations.
51:48-49,51,62 ; Then the heavens and the earth, and all that is in it, shall sing for joy over Babylon; for the destroyers shall come to her from the north, says Yahvah. As Babylon has caused the killed to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the killed of all the land. We are confounded, because we have heard reproach; confusion has covered our faces; for strangers have come into the sanctuaries of Yahvah’s house. And say, O Yahvah, you have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate forever.
Now let us look at what is prophesied to happen to the False, Counterfeit Religion of the Catholic “Mother Church”
Revelation 17:3-5,18 And he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and then horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abomination, even the unclean things of her fornication., and upon her forehead a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth
In Isaiah 47 is a prophecy about the destruction of this Babylonian Mystery Religion System that masquerades as “Yahvah’s Religion”. One of the 2 Witnesses (Gabriel, the 4th Elijah to come), will be warning the world about this false Babylonian Idolatrous Religion, and Gabriel will be using these verses in Isaiah 47 to do this.
Isaiah 47:1-9 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones, and grind meal, remove your veil, strip off the train, uncover the leg, pass through the rivers. Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yes, your shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and will spare no man. Our Redeemer, Yahvah of hosts is his name, the Righteous One of Israel. Sit silent, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called. The mistress of kingdoms. I was angry with my people, I profaned my in heritance, and gave them into your hand: you did show them no mercy; upon the aged have you very heavily laid your Yoke. And you said, I shall be mistress forever, so that you did not lay these things to your heart, neither did remember the latter of it. Now therefore hear this, you are given to pleasures, that sit securely, that say in your heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: but these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments. (See Revelation 18:8)
Isaiah 7:10-11 And Yahvah spoke again Ahaz, saying, Ask a sign Yahvah your Eternal; ask it either in the depth of in the height above.
(Comment: The Catholic Church “sold” salvation by accepting money for the absolution of
sins by the Priests)
Isaiah 47:12-15 Stand now with your enchantments, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth; if so be able to profit, if so be you may prevail. You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels: let now the astrologers, the star-gazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from the things that shall come upon you. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: it shall be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before. In this manner shall the things be to you in which you have labored: They that have traded with you from your youth shall wander every one to his quarter; there shall be no one to save you.
There is a parallel prophecy in Revelation 18 addressing the Systems of Satan. The Economic, Government & Religion Systems of Babylon will fall when they are destroyed at Messiah’s 2nd Coming.
Likewise the City of Rome and the End-Time Babylon in Iraq will be destroyed, as we see from the prophecy in Revelation 18.
Revelation 18:1-6 After these things I saw another Messenger coming down out of heaven, having great authority; and the earth was lightened with his splendor. And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and has become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird. For by the wine of the wrath of her fornication all the nations have fallen; and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth became rich by the power of her wantonness. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth my people, out of her, that you have no fellowship with her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues: for her sins have reached even to heaven, and Yahvah has remembered her iniquities. Render to her even as she rendered, and double the double which she mingled to her double.(See Jeremiah 25:15-16).
Revelation 18:7-24 However much she glorified herself, and became wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she says in her heart, I sit a queen and am no window, and shall in no wise see mourning. (Refer back to Isaiah 47:7 ) Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is Yahvah Eternal, who judged her.. (See Isaiah 47:9) And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived wantonly with her, shall weep, and wail over her, when they look upon the smoke of her burning, standing far off from the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city of Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment came. And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, for no man buys their merchandise any more; merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stone, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet; and all citron wood, and every vessel of ivory, and every vessel made of most precious wood, and of copper, and iron, and marble; and cinnamon, and spice, and incense, and ointment, and fine flour and wheat, and cattle, and sheep; and merchandise of horses and chariots and slaves; and souls of men. And the fruits which your soul lusted after are gone from you, and all things that were dainty and sumptuous are perished from you, and men shall find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand far off from the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning; saying, Woe, woe, the great city, she that was arrayed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearl! For in one hour so great riches is made desolate. And every shipmaster, and every one that sails anywhere, and mariners, and as many as gain their living by the sea, stood far off, and cried out as they looked on the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like the great city? And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying woe, woe, the great city, in which all that had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her costliness! For in one hour she is made desolate. Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you chosen, and you apostles, and your prophets for the Eternal has judged your judgment on her. And a strong messenger took up a stone as it were a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall shall Babylon, the great city, be cast down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers and the minstrels and flute-players and trumpeters shall be heard no more at all in you; and no craftsman, or whatever craft, shall be found any more at all in you; and the voice of a mill shall be heard no more at all in you; and the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in you: for your merchants were the princes of the earth; for with your sorcery were all the nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of chosen, and of all that have been killed upon the earth.
See Point 9
Zechariah 14:1-13 Behold, a day of Yahvah comes, when your plunder shall be divided in the middle of you. For I will gather all nations unto Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall Yahvah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall divide in the middle of it toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And you shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and Yahvah my Eternal shall come, and all the righteous ones with you. And it shall come to pass in that day, that there shall not be light; the bright ones shall withdraw themselves; but it shall be one day which is known to Yahvah; not day, and not night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time there shall be light. And it shall come to pass in that day, the living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And Yahvah shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall Yahvah be one, and his name one. All the land shall be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she shall be lifted up, and shall dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more curse; but Jerusalem shall dwell safely. And this shall be the plague with which Yahvah will strike all the peoples that have warred again Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from Yahvah shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
(See also Revelation 19 the entire chapter concerning this War fought by Messiah)
The Chosen of Messiah WIN IN THE END
Daniel 7:18,22,27 But the chosen of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even forever and ever. Until the ancient of days come, and judgment was given to the chosen of the Most High, and the time came that the chosen possessed the kingdom. And the kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the chosen of the Most High: his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominations shall serve and obey him.
These prophecies about End-Time Babylon will happen – because Yahvan says so. We as Yahvah’s “this generation will not pass till all these things be fulfilled” Chosen do not have many years left before our Saviour returns.
Why has Yahvah given us these prophecies? Yahvah tells us He has given them TO US HIS CHOSEN so that we can understand the times and the seasons, AND GET OURSELVES READY.
Matthew 24:33 even so you also, when you see all these things, you also, when you see all these things, know that he is near, even at the door.
Mark 13:23 But take you heed: behold, I have told you all things before hand.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Sovereign Yahvah will do nothing, except he reveals his secret to his servant the prophets.
Revelation 1:1-3 The revelation of Yahvahosha the Messiah, which Yahvah gave him to show to his servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his messenger to his servant John: who bore witness of the word of Yahvah, and of the testimony of Yahvahosha the Messiah, of all the things that he saw. Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things which are written in it: for the time is at hand.
(We have seen how often Babylon – the City – the System – the False Religion – is discussed by Yahvah in the Book of Revelation)
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6,8, 13,19-21 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that anything be written to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of Yahvah so comes as a thief in the night. When they are saying, Peace and safety, then suddenly destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief: for you are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober. But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; for a helmet, the hope of salvation. And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Quench not the Spirit; despise not prophesying; prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
This verse 4 indicates that at the End we know when Messiah will Return!
How do we know? Because we have studied the 7-Prophetic Biblical Proofs Yahvahosha has provided for this very reason, so that verse 4 becomes a fact “but you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief”.
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of your coming, and what shall the sign of your coming, and of the consummation of the age?
In 1 Thessalonians 5 Paul is saying we should let prophecy give us hope and mold us into people of faith and righteousness. You can be a “son of light and day” by taking seriously this and other unfolding warnings of prophecy.
Let them move you to a change and a closer walk with Yahvah, your Creator.
Luke 21:28 But you are they that have continued with me in my temptations;
My Prayer for Yahvah’s Chosen: May these “Early Warning” End-time Prophecies of Yahvah motivate all of us to grow in faith and love for one another.
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another
May these prophecies motivate us all, no matter where we are scattered in the world – to a reawakening – to a renewal and a closer walk & relationship with our Father and His Son.
And we do see That Day approaching.

T&M DON’T GET IN A HURRY
But as we were allowed of Yahvah to be put in trust with the Gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but Yahvah, which trieth our hearts. 1Th 2:4
“Have you ever wondered, YHAVAH HOW LONG AM I GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT PROMOTION I DESERVE? IS THERE A REASON THAT THE PROMOTION I WANT KEEPS GETTING DELAYED? WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY LIFE YAHVAH?
”We always seem concerned about making things happen faster, but Yahvah doesn’t work in the same time frame we do. There are some things that are more important to Yahvah than giving us a promotion when we want it or making sure we get a pay raise when we think we deserve it.
“Now Yahvah does reward us for our faithfulness, but sometimes He takes a little longer than we might like to promote us in order to make sure we’re really ready for that next big assignment. It’s hard on the flesh while we wait, yet it is actually the mercy of Yahvah at work. You see, during that time of waiting, the imperfections that would have ruined us are exposed so Yahvah can remove them. Then He can move us up into the new position with no concern that a hidden flaw will cause us to fall flat on our faces.
We know from Ac 9:20-25 that when Paul first became Saved, he tried to barge right into a public ministry. But he wasn’t ready for that yet and therefore created some problems and a lack of peach in the Early Assembly. Although saved and called, he simply wasn’t ready to be promoted into the new position of leadership. It was going to take some time for Yahvah to prepare Paul for the kind of ministry and anointing he was going to carry in his life.
Paul referred to this process when he wrote to the Thessalonians. He said, “But as we were allowed of Yahvah to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak: not as pleasing men, but Yahvah, which trieth our hearts” (1 Th 2:4). this verse is packed full of insight regarding Paul’s own experience of being prepared, tested, and finally promoted into his own public ministry.
Notice first, that Paul says, “But as we were allowed of Yahvah…” The word “allowed” is the Greek word dokimadoz, a word that means to test; to examine; to inspect; to scrutinize; to determine the quality or sincerity of a thing. Because the object scrutinized has passed the test, it can not be viewed as genuine and sincere.
The word dokimadzo was also used to illustrate the test used to determine real and counterfeit coinage. After a scrutinizing test was performed, the bona fide cinage would stand up to the test and the counterfeit would fail. The strictness conveyed by the word dokimadzo evident by an early use of this word to picture the refining of metal by fire to remove its impurities. First the metal was placed in a fire that burned at a certain degree of heat; then it was placed in a fire burning at an even higher degree; and finally, it was placed in a blazing fire that burned at the highest degree of all. Three such tests were needed in order to remove from the metal all the unseen impurities that were hidden from the naked eye.
From the viewpoint of the naked eye, probably looked strong and ready to be used even prior to those test. But unseen defects were resident in the metal that would have shown up later as a break, a fracture, or some kind of malfunction. Before a person could be assured that the metal was free of defects and thus ready to be used, these three purifying tests at three different degrees of blazing hot fire were required. The fire was hot and the process was lengthy, but the tests were necessary in order to achieve the desired result.
Because Paul uses the word dokimadzo, he testifies to us: “It was a lengthy process and I went through a lot of refining fires to get to this place, but finally I passed the test and Yahvah saw that I was genuinely ready…”
So don’t be discouraged if it takes time for your dream to become a reality in your life! Yahvah never gets in a hurry, because righteous character is more important to Him than gifts, talents or temporary success in the eyes of other people. He wants to use you, but He also wants you to be ready to be used!
Right now you may need some time to prepare, change, and grow. That way when Yahvah finally promotes you, you’ll have what you need both naturally and spiritually to STAY established in that Yahvah ordained position as you fulfill your assignment with excellence.
PRAYER: YAHVAH, THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING MY CHARACTER SO CAREFULLY. I KNOW THAT YOU WANT TO CHANGE ME AND CONFIRM ME INTO THE IMAGE OF YAHVAHOSHA MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. I OFTEN FEEL RUSHED TO GET THINGS MOVING, BUT I KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO SEE IF I HAVE THE CHARACTER I NEED SO I CAN SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT YOU’RE CALLING ME TO DO. I YIELD MY HEART TO YOU AND ASK YOU TO DO YOUR WORK INSIDE ME. CHANGE ME SO YOU CAN USE ME AS YOU WISH! I PRAY THIS IN YAHVAHOSHA THE MESSIAH HALLELUYAH!
MY CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I declare by faith that I am being changed so Yahvah can use me to the degree He desires! Yes, I have areas in my life that need to be transformed, but because I renew my mind with the Word of Yahvah and spend time in prayer, Yahvah is free to work on me and get me ready for the big job He has designed for my life. I know that as I stay opening and willing to change, my character WILL be transformed into the image of Yahvahosha so I can complete my task successfully and to the majestic of Yahvah. I declare this by faith in Yahvah’s name! Bro. Doc
