  • YAHVAH'S POWER IS YOURS FOR THE TAKING!

Finally my brethren, be strong in Yahvah, and in the power of his might. Eph 6:10

Many years ago, I was preaching in a series of meetings about the power of the Holy Ghost. At the end of one of the services, an invitation was given for people to come forward who wanted to be filled with the Holy Ghost. I watched with great joy as nearly 100 people filled the latar of that Assembly. They slipped down on their kees at the seps of the stage, lowered their heads in prayer, and begin to ask Yahvah to touch them, to fill them, and in some cases, to refill them with a fresh infilling of power.

I stepped off the stage to pray for the people, the host informed me that he would be praying for them that ight. I move aside to let him lead, ut was a decision I soon egretted. I watched as this leader moved among those dear people, patting them on the back and telling them, "You had to pray louder, You had to pray harder, You have to plead if you want to be filled. You have to tarry longer."

In a matter of minutes, the atmosphere at that altar mutated into a scene as those precious people began to beg and plead for something that Yahvah graciously and freely wanted to give them. A precious wormk of grace was turned into an ugly work of flesh--and as a result, few of them received anything from Yahvah that night.

Later I asked the host, "How long have those people been praying to be filled with the Holy Ghost?" He ahswered that some had been waiting as long as 20 years; some have been waiting 15 years; and others had been seeking for a "mere" year or two. I was aghast! I thought, Why has it taken so long for these believers to be filled with the Holy Ghost when this is something Yahvah had made accessible to every believer?

You see, the fresh touch of power of us need today is a close as the air we breathe. Yahvah designed us to be the receptaqcles for this power, so He wants us to receive it. He knews we need to walk in victory, to exercise authority in our lives and to overcome the works of the devil.

But where do we get that supernatural power? Paul answers this question in Eph 6:10, when he says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahvah, and in the power of his might." I want you to especially look at that phrase "be strong in Yahvah."

The phrase"in Yahvah" is a Greek phrase that means that this special infusion of dynamic, supernatural power can e found in one place--in Yahvah. The fact that Paul wrote in this particular Greek case is very important, because it tells us that this power is locked up in the Power of Yahvahosha Messiah and that iscan't be found anywhere else.

You can't obtain this supernatural power by reading books to tapes. The books and tapes can direct you to the place where it can be found only by obtained through a personal relationship with the Saviour Yahvahosha Messiah. This power is locked up in "Yahvah.

You are surrounded by Yahvah's supernatural power right now. At this very moment, you are immersed in that divine power. Supernatural inner strength and ability is yours for the taking--so take it by faith!

PRAYER: YAHVAH, HOW CAN IN EVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR MAKING YOUR POWER SO AVAILABLE TO ME? I NEED IN THIS POWER SO MUCH TO MAKE MY LIFE, AND I'M GRATEFUL YOU HAVE MAKE IT EASY FOR ME TO RECEIVE IT. THEREFORE, I OPEN MY HEART RIGHT NOW BY FAITH, AND I ASK YOU TO GIVE ME A FRESH INFALLING OF YOUR SPIRIT. I PRAY THIS IN YAHVAHOSHA'S NAME.

    QUESTIONS FOR YOU TO CONSIDER

1.When was the last time you received a fresh surge of a supernatural power in your life?

3.How will today's T&M make a difference in your way of thinking. Bro. Doc

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - I am glad it is good for you reading these T&M's and you are getting something out of them. Your being filled with the Holy Ghost was the indwell that comes Bro. Frank when saved. The other is the infilling when one received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. As we find in Ac 2 and 1 Co 12, Ac 14 etc. Bro. Doc

  • Very good Bro Doc! It was almost a year after I accepted Christ before I received the Holy Spirit. I have found the more I listen to the Holy Spirit, the more I hear it.

  • Good Morning, Pastor.

I was definitely filled when born again. I know that true theologians differ on the details, but I was filled as far as I am concerned.

I call it refreshing---often during  my annual reading of the Bible, God speaks directly to me and I am refreshed.

His power working in me does not seem to be up to me--He just releases His power in my life at critical moments. It seems he allows some tough things to enter my life, but then helps me through them usually leaving me stronger.

This TM just reminded me to seek that power when I do my Bible reading.

I liked reading your very good reminder.
