  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - You are very welcome Bro. Frank, but look at the 1850′s 1900′s early 1990′s in Brownville TX and we see Revivals. But those in the 1850′s early 1900′s we saw miracles happen for sure. this shows me at least we have gotten further from the plumb line. Bro. Doc

  • @BroDoc - Thanks for sharing your toughts on this.

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - I think Bro. Frank, the reason we do not see Revivals happening today, is because if such a think happened the preachers would be afraid that the people in their assemblies that got changed would leave and they wouldn’t have people in their assemblies. Why in the 1850′s did we see Smithweigglesworth, able to to do what the Apostles? Why was he able to lay over the sick and dead and they were healed. Why in the early 1900′s did the LA revivals happen for weeks and people were praying night and day and many were saved and healed.
    What happened?
I think it is because people in that day were more in tune with Yahvah. Now the Assembly has grown cold and it is for the most part like thew world.
They have so many programs, donuts, coffee you can buy. They sing the same song over and over 20o times, and then they claim to be “dancing in Spirit” when not.
“Speaking in tongues” when it is not of the spirit.
Telling you to get you to come to their Assembly, we have this program, that program. And Worship and teaching is the last thing mentioned.
They use some strange kind of Scripture NIV (Non Inspired Version)
    The List goes on.
    Like homosexual Pastors, etc. etc.
The Assembly is just like the world.
We have lost our first love and it is time to get back there. Bro. Doc

  • HI Pastor. I think this is a sound good quote. I am not a student at all here, but my impression is that nation changing revivals are rare, and I am not convinced a few people pray fervently will actually work. I know there are stories of old women praying for revival with Moody coming to town in England and they had one. A college in upper Ohio (Ohberlin or some like that) had a camus revival, and the sign was the Christian students started standing up confessing sins to everyone. I think we have had a couple in our nation long ago.

I think we should pray for revival, but the term seems to be a certain church term not taught in the Bible–like the word Trinity and Rapture are not in the Bible. I know we should pray for our nation, but the N.T. says Christians in all countries should pray for their leaders.

I don’t see it as obvious as most due. It is a little mysterious.
