  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - Shalom Bro Frank, There is nothing at all wrong for praying for what we have earthly need of.Let’s say that your car gave up. You have no way to get too your appointments, and the bus is to far and the taxi is way too much.It is not wrong to pray for a car.What would be wrong to pray for is things we do not need, like a new easy chair when the other one is fine, or couch etc.IF all we are going to pray about is Spiritual things 24/7 then we are one sided.There is nothing wrong with asking for THINGS THAT WE NEED.The reason we do not get things that we really need is because we ask wrongly and don’t receive.Bro. Doc

  • @BroDoc - I have a different read on this. lol   jesus is the one who taught us to  Ask, Seek, and Knock.  There are some that are very spiritual and that is nice. My former church always taught that we should pray about spiritual things  not petty earthly needs. They made it sound like we were stupid or carnal for asking God for things.  Some churches actually end up stopping people from praying because they make their members feel guilty when they do.I think Phil 4:6—8 sums it up kind of nicely. No sure about the verses. There needs to be some balance I guess, but asking for things is not sin. James said people pray for evil reasons and they get nothing. Loved you teaching here. I should be more thankful and worshipful, but I am only 80 and can grow. lolfrank

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - They want to talk to Him Bro. Frank, only when they want something, at least most of the people. We should want to talk too Him daily at least three times a day like Daniel. Bro. Doc

  • Good Morning Pastor. It is interesting that the Creator of the Universe and everything else wants us to talk to Him. Incredible.
